TGM Original Questions

Prove the identity \(\frac{\cos x}{1 + \sin x} + \frac{1 + \sin x}{\cos x} = 2 \sec x\).

Hence solve the equation \(\frac{\cos x}{1 + \sin x} + \frac{1 + \sin x}{\cos x} = \tan^2 x - 2\), for \(0^\circ \le x \le 360^\circ\).
