Temperature Changes in a Laboratory Experiment

Temperature Changes in a Laboratory Experiment

Secondary 1

Liquid \(Y\) and \(Z\) are stored at room temperature in a laboratory at \(25^\circ \mathrm{C}\).

  1. During a Science experiment, Julie cooled Liquid \(Y\) until its temperature dropped by \(30^\circ \mathrm{C}\). Find the new temperature of Liquid \(Y\).
  2. In another Science experiment, Julie heated Liquid \(Z\) until its temperature rose by \(18^\circ \mathrm{C}\). Calculate the difference between the final temperatures of Liquid \(Y\) and \(Z\).
