Basic Geometry - Angles Formed by Two Parallel Lines and a Transversal

TGM Original Questions

In the diagram, \(O\) is the centre of the larger circle. \(AOB\), \(AKC\) and \(BKD\) are straight lines. Prove that

  1. \(DK = CK\) ,
  2. \(AB\) is parallel to \(CD\) , and
  3. \(DKB\) bisects angle \(ODC\) .

As shown, \(A,B,C,D\) lie on the larger circle and \(A,O,D,K\) lie on the smaller circle.
