  1. Prove that \(\frac{\cos^3x + \sin x \cos^2x + \cos x \sin^2x + \sin^3x}{1 + \cos 2x + \sin 2x} = \frac{1}{2 \cos x}\).[3]
  2. Hence or otherwise, find all the angles between \(0{}^\circ\) and \(360{}^\circ\) inclusive which satisfy the equation \(\frac{\cos^3x + \sin x \cos^2x + \cos x \sin^2x + \sin^3x}{1 + \cos 2x + \sin 2x} = 5 \cos x\).[5]
