Kinematics - Velocity from Acceleration

Kinematics - Velocity from Acceleration

A particle \(P\) moves in a straight line so that, \(t\) s after passing a fixed point \(O\), its acceleration, \(a\) ms\({}^{-2}\) is given by \(a = -3e^{-\frac{1}{3}t}\). Given that \(P\) has an initial velocity of \(7\) ms\({}^{-1}\), find the

  1. value of \(t\) when \(P\) is instantaneously at rest.
  2. total distance travelled by \(P\) between \(t=0\) to \(t=10\).
