The figure below shows trapezium \(ABCD\) and semicircle \(DFC\). In the figure, \(AB=14\) cm, \(BC=5\) cm, \(AD=5\) cm, height \(4\) cm and the diameter of the semicircle with centre \(E\) is \(8\) cm.

Calculate

  1. the area of the shaded region.
  2. the perimeter of the shaded region.
