Introduction to Linear Functions

Introduction to Linear Functions

Secondary 1

Function is a relation from a set of inputs to a set of possible outputs where each input gives exactly one output.

A Linear Function has the form of \(y=ax+b\) and a graph of a straight line.

The equation of a function is \(y=-3x+1\) . Find the value of

  1. \(y\) when \(x=-1\),
  2. \(x\) when \(y=5\).
