Equations involving Indices

Equations involving Indices

Secondary 3

For a real exponential equation \(a^x=b\), take \(a>0\), \(a\ne1\) and \(b>0\). Equal powers with this common base have equal indices.

To solve equation in which the unknown, \(x\) is the index.

\({{a}^{x}}=b\)

Tip: Change both sides to the same base.
