A quadrilateral is a closed plane figure that has four sides, four interior angles and four vertices.
E.g., square, rectangle, parallelogram.
Angle Sum of a Quadrilateral
The sum of interior angles of a quadrilateral is \(360^\circ\).
(Angle sum of quadrilateral)

\(a{}^\circ +b{}^\circ +c{}^\circ +d{}^\circ =360{}^\circ\)
Quadrilaterals and Their Properties

Correction to the retained kite image: the diagonals of a kite are perpendicular, and one diagonal bisects the other. They do not in general bisect each other. The interior-angle sum \(360^\circ\) is for a simple quadrilateral; a diagonal lying inside it divides it into two triangles.
