Direct Proportion Between Number of Bars and Mass

Direct Proportion Between Number of Bars and Mass

Secondary 2

The table below shows the number of chocolate bars, \(n\), and the corresponding mass of
the bars, \(M\)grams.

\(M\)(grams)\(60\)\(120\)\(180\)\(240\)\(300\)
\(n\)\(5\)\(10\)\(15\)\(20\)\(25\)
  1. Show that \(M\) and \(n\) are in direct proportion.
  2. Write down an equation connecting \(M\)and \(n\).
  3. Find the value of \(n\) when the total mass of the bars is \(480\) grams.
