Direct and Inverse Proportion

These are separate relationships with positive variables.

1. \(y\propto1/x^2\). When \(x=3\), \(y=8\). Find the equation and \(y\) when \(x=6\).

2. \(p\propto1/(q+2)\). When \(q=2\), \(p=15\). Find the equation and \(q\) when \(p=6\).

3. \(u\propto1/v^3\). When \(v=2\), \(u=54\). Find the equation and \(u\) when \(v=3\).
