Derivation of Maclaurin's series for arctangent

Derivation of Maclaurin's series for arctangent

IB Year 6 | Grade 12

Given that \(\mathrm{f}(x) = \arctan x\), find

  1. \(\mathrm{f}'(x)\);
  2. the first \(3\) terms, in ascending power of \(x\), of the Maclaurin series for \(\mathrm{f}'(x)\).
  3. Hence, find the Maclaurin series of \(\mathrm{f}(x)\).
