A sequence \(\{u_n\}\) is an ordered list of numbers, each of these numbers is called a term of the sequence.
A finite sequence is one which has a finite number of terms, which we can express as
\[u_1, u_2, ..., u_n\]
An infinite sequence is one which has an infinite number of terms, and can be written as
\[u_1, u_2, u_3, ...\]
where only a first few terms of the sequence are displayed.
