Congruent Quadrilaterals and Exterior Angles

Congruent Quadrilaterals and Exterior Angles

Secondary 2

Two congruent quadrilaterals, \(ABCD\) and \(WXYZ\), are given below (not drawn to scale).

\(\angle BCD=\angle XYZ=90{}^\circ \), \(\angle ABC=9x{}^\circ \) and \(\angle ADC=2x{}^\circ \). \(XWV\) is a straight line such that \(\angle VWZ=42{}^\circ \).

  1. Find \(\angle XWZ\).
  2. Using your result in (a), find the value of \(x\).
