Let \({{z}_{1}}=3+2\mathbf{i}\), \({{z}_{2}}=2-5\mathbf{i}\) be two complex numbers.

  1. Express \({{z}_{1}}\) and \({{z}_{2}}\) on the Argand diagram.
  2. Hence, using the same Argand diagram,
    1. \({{z}_{1}}^*\),
    2. \({{z}_{1}}+{{z}_{2}}\),
    3. \(\mathbf{i}{{z}_{2}}\).

Video Solution:

Default solution

Answer:(a) \(z_1:(3,2),\ z_2:(2,-5)\) (b)(i) \(z_1^*:(3,-2)\) (b)(ii) \(z_1+z_2:(5,-3)\) (b)(iii) \(iz_2:(5,2)\)
