Ryan cycles \(4\) km from his home to a convenience store at an average speed of \(x\) km/h.

He spends \(20\) minutes in the store before cycling back home along the same route, at an average speed of \(2.5\) km/h slower.

The total time taken, including the time spent in the store, is \(1\) hour.

  1. Show that \(2x^2-29x+30=0\).[5]
  2. Solve the equation \(2x^2-29x+30=0\). Give your solutions correct to three decimal places.[3]
  3. Explain why one of your answers in part (b) cannot be accepted.[1]
