The function \(\mathrm{f}\) is given by
\[\mathrm{f}(x) = \begin{cases} 2 + \sqrt{2^2 - (x-2)^2}, & 0 < x \leq 4, \\ 2 - \sqrt{2^2 - (x-6)^2}, & 4 < x \leq 8. \end{cases}\]
It is given that \(\mathrm{f}(x) = \mathrm{f}(x+8)\) for all real values of \(x\).
The curve \(C\) has equation \(\frac{(y-3)^2}{a^2} - (x+2)^2 = 1\), where \(a\) is a positive real constant.
