Answer:(a) Sketch \(y=-2\cos3x+1\) through \((0,-1),\left(\frac{\pi}{6},1\right),\left(\frac{\pi}{3},3\right),\left(\frac{\pi}{2},1\right),\left(\frac{2\pi}{3},-1\right),\left(\frac{5\pi}{6},1\right),(\pi,3)\), together with the line segment \(y=-\frac{2}{\pi}x+1\) from \((0,1)\) to \((\pi,-1)\). (b) \(3\) solutions.
