  1. A curve \(C\) is defined by the parametric equations
    \(x=2t+\cos 2t\), \(y=\sin 2t\), where \(-\frac{\pi }{2}\le t\le 0\).
Sketch the curve \(C\), labelling the \(x\)-intercepts. Hence find the exact area of the region bounded by \(C\) and the \(x\)-axis.[6]
