Find the expansion of \({{\left( \frac{1+2{{x}^{2}}}{4-x} \right)}^{\frac{1}{2}}}\) in ascending powers of \(x\), up to and including the term in \({{x}^{2}}\).[4]

  1. Find the set of values of \(x\) for which the expansion is valid.[2]
  2. By putting \(x=\frac{1}{4}\), show that \(\sqrt{30}\approx \frac{a}{b}\), where \(a\) and \(b\) are integers to be determined.[2]
