Vectors - Intersection of Two Lines

Vectors - Intersection of Two Lines

Solutions to this question by accurate drawing will not be accepted.
The diagram shows a parallelogram \(ABCD\) in which \(C\) is \(\left( 4,16 \right)\) and \(D\) is \(\left( -2,6 \right)\).
The line \(AD\) when produced meets the \(y\)-axis at point \(T\). \(AT\) is parallel to \(y-11x=4\) and \(AC\) is perpendicular to \(x+3y=0\).

  1. Show that the coordinates of \(T\) is \(\left( 0,28 \right)\).
  2. Find the equation of \(AC\).
  3. Show that the coordinates of \(A\) is \(\left( -3,-5 \right)\).
  4. Find the coordinates of \(B\).
  5. Find the area of parallelogram \(ABCD\).
